All right, I appreciate the attention. But, someone who has snuck (or sneaked, whatever the hell...) onto my comments and posted links to various, possibly nefarious, sites about dating and free halloween costumes. I'm going to wonder now if anyone else is finding these things in their comments....

One of the old descriptions for my web log was generated by Sloganizer.net. I'll probably be dedicating some of my own brainpower for cleverness to my site, but sometimes I've got better things to think over. Mostly, I'm just here for the ride, and to enjoy reading what others are publishing.

You can require commenters to use a word verification by going into the settings for your blog. Then if they want to comment, they have to type what they see in the box. It's a small extra step to combat comment spam. Hope that helps.
You can also, I think, set it up so people can't comment anonymously.
Thanks for the tips, Eilir. In the back of my mind, I've been wondering how long it would take before spam started showing up in comment boxes...
